I decided to spend my birthday money this year taking a polymer clay class at the Bay Area Bead Extravaganza. The instructor was Christi Friesen, she makes some really wonderful polymer clay art pieces. Her website is www.cforiginals.com if you want to check it out. The class was great and even though I'm pretty much a beginner at this, I was able to make a couple nice floral embellished pieces (these are supposed to go together with some more beads to make a necklace).
Then I was so inspired that I came home and made this cute holiday wreath:
All in all it was a very fun birthday weekend! And now that I've got some techniques to work with I think I can do a lot with polymer clay so look for more pieces to come!
